A Bird in the Hand
"From Tree to Tale" is carver Steve Arment's latest show, opening at the Josephy Center November 14th at 4pm and runs through December 18th. It is a fund-raiser for Josephy Center's youth art programs. He has invited various artist to participate and I have created 25 bird paintings, all 6"x 6" or less. Steve and I also collaborated on a few pieces—I've included two below. If you can't make it to the show and are interested in one of the birds, email me at JoanGilbertStudio@e

These are all lovely! I like the value range in Eagle Caps 2, but my eye keeps going back to Eagle Caps 1 for the freshness and simplicity of the sky and reflections. There's no wrong answer here, but tilting toward #1. Beautifully done!
