In January 2020 I finally had the time to start focusing on Wallowa Lake 55x55. My good friend and fellow artist, Melissa Duncan (MDuncan Studio) and I decided to meet once a month and take turns picking a style to mess around with. For our first Art Play Day, I picked one of my favorite techniques, Ink-Paint Resist, that I have taught in schools. It's a little unpredictable with lots of happy accidents. Watercolor or an ink wash can be added to the canvas afterward. I had started a few other images/styles before this day, but I count this as my first completed piece. Only 54 more to go!
